He is survived by his mother, Donna Rockafellow and his siblings two sisters, Annmarie Rockafellow and Shawn Marie Rockafellow and three brothers David Rockafellow, J.D. Tyler was predeceased by his wife Ariel in October 2021.

He loved to be outside in nature and was looking forward to a hunting trip that he had planned with his uncle. His lifelong friends called him 'Dirt' as a nickname. He was happy when he was travelling around the country and meeting new people. He was not concerned with material things and it did not take much to make him happy. When he returned home to New Jersey this past summer, he went to work for his uncle at Fairview Cemetery for the past 3 months.
